    Instructor Bio:

Linda is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Postpartum Doula. She was born and raised in Newark NJ, and recently moved to the west coast. She is the mother of 10 children (including one set of twins!), and the proud grandmother of five. Her experiences parenting for more than 40 years have given her a wealth of insights and practical knowledge. Linda’s background informs her approach to supporting and empowering women and their families to parent successfully. Linda has genuine concern and love for mothers and babies, and her passion is breastfeeding support. The middle daughter of three sisters, Linda was a teen at the time her older sister was pregnant. Linda had read about the benefits of breastfeeding, so she convinced her sister to try breastfeeding her baby. She helped her sister to position the baby comfortably, and her support helped launch them on the path to a successful nursing relationship for 6 months. No one in her family for two generations had breastfed their babies, and she and her sister were proud to reintroduce this important practice into their family. Linda has worked for over fifteen years in Lactation Support in hospitals and public health agencies. Her mission is to give families a great start and a strong foundation as a family by helping with the chores of everyday life, providing support, and answering baby care questions. In her spare time, Linda is an avid reader, and loves to write poetry and try new recipes.
