Let's Be Partners!

HiveCE is built around the concept that by bringing together quality instructors from a variety of backgrounds, we all can grow wiser together. This document outlines the standard profit split arrangements between HiveCE and its community partners and instructors.

Our Values

All courses on HiveCE must be in alignment with our company values: 1. Informed Choice is the cornerstone of midwifery care, and a best practice for all patient care. 2. Access to quality, evidence-based, continuing education, regardless of geographic location is vital for the process of Informed Choice. 3. While Obstetric standards may be used as one reference to inform the creation of Midwifery standards, Midwifery is a standalone profession, and Obstetric standards are not automatically Midwifery standards.

  • Profit Sharing

All the profit share accounting is automated on HiveCE. Checks are sent out on a regular schedule. Easy peasy!

Non-Profit Organizations

  • This option is designed for Non-Profit Organizations where the instructor is distinct from the organization. It is most often used when recording live midwifery conferences.

  • Non-profit organization: course promotion to their support base via their established methods (email announcements, website listing, newsletter, etc.), provides direct payment up front for course-specific CE application fees.

  • Instructor: researches topic, creates learning objectives, designs presentation, provides CV to HiveCE, presents course, may aid in creating supplemental learning activities.

  • HiveCE: records class, edits video/audio/slides, creates slides if needed, creates supplemental learning activities, creates course outline, prepares and submits CE applications, provides web hosting, provides payment processing, provides customer support, provides technical support through the Thinkific support team if needed, promotes course nationwide.

  • At this time, we are offering a very generous profit split with non-profit organizations. Under this model, the non-profit receives 30% and the instructor receives 30%. (If the organization/instructor would like to adjust those numbers so they still add to 60%, just let us know.)

Instructor/HiveCE Partnership

  • Instructor: researches topic, creates learning objectives, provides CV, designs presentation, presents class, may aid in creating supplemental learning activities.

  • HiveCE: records class, edits video/audio/slides, creates slides if needed, creates supplemental learning activities, creates course outline, applies for and provides funding for MEAC or other CEU approval, provides web hosting, provides payment processing, provides customer support, provides technical support through the Thinkific support team if needed, promotes course nationwide.

  • Proceeds are split evenly between the instructor and HiveCE.
