Sometimes called "nature's epidural," water immersion therapy in labor is widely available in all care settings, but often underutilized.
Midwife Jesica Dolin Gutierrez has attended over 600 waterbirths, and will guide you through how water immersion therapy can benefit you: during labor, delivery, or both.
This IN PERSON course is offered outdoors in Portland, OR, where each participant will be given the opportunity to practice recommended positions in warm water.
Swimsuits are required.
Space is limited to six participants per session.

How often is this course held?
The frequency of offering is based on how many have expressed interest through the sign-up list.

How long is the class?
The class is a single session, 2 hours in length.

What if I don't want to get in the water?
Everyone will have the opportunity to emerge themselves in a saltwater hot tub set to a pregnancy-safe temperature, and practice positions. Those who do not wish to get in the water will be able to learn by watching other participants, and the instructor.
