You may have seen the headlines...

Intact Cord Resuscitation has been found to be best for babies!

This course provides the background needed to understand the headlines, and the practical tools to put this new standard of care into practice.

Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

1. Describe neonatal transitional physiology and how an intact cord supports these critical changes, and how immediate cord clamping is not a benign act.

2. Describe emerging evidence that supports a change from the status quo.

3. Explain how this may be achieved with both specialized and standard equipment.

4. Explain challenges to implementation, and ideas to address those challenges.
