Terms and Conditions
You are enrolling Hands-On Suturing Instant Access, with different terms and conditions than our purely on-demand online courses. These Terms and Conditions are needed in order for the course delivery process to be smooth for you, the fellow participants of this course.
~ If you haven't already, scroll up and watch the video at the top of this page. ~
By enrolling in this course, you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, so please read them carefully. ALL of the following will need to be completed to receive your CE Certificate:
1. Upon enrollment, you will have instant access to the on-demand portion. The on-demand portion must be completed by one half hour prior to your live Zoom practice session. (The cost for that session is included in your Instant Access course fee, but you will need to sign up for that session down the road.)
2. You also must pass the written test with an 80% or greater, by one half hour prior to your live Zoom practice session.
3. Attendance and participation in a live Zoom practice session is required. When you see a session date you'd like to attend, email [email protected]. You will be sent a special code to use to enroll for "free." Space is limited, and once you are enrolled in a session date, you will also need to follow all the Terms for that session date.
4. After you attend a small group practice session, you must also pass a skills test via a private Zoom session.
5. Certain supplies are required to participate in the live portions of this course, and a supply kit is included with the course fee for all participants in the United States. Supplies for participants outside the United States are handled on a case-by-case basis, please email [email protected] to discuss.
In addition to the supply kit we provide, you will need the following at your live Zoom sessions:
- Gloves (non-sterile is fine)
- TWO devices to join the Zoom with, one of which is a phone (or tablet)
- A workspace to practice suturing while attending the Zoom
6. CE certifications require that you complete a course evaluation. We'll send you a direct link after you pass your skills test.
7. Your CE Certificate for 12.5 hours of continuing education will be sent via email once Steps 1-6 are complete, and any fees incurred during those steps have been paid in full. The date on the certificate, once sent, will be the date your passed your skills test.
Refund Policy
If BOTH of the following conditions are met:
- Less than 10% of the on-demand portion has been accessed.
- It has been less than 30 days since enrollment.
...then you may receive a full refund less a 3% processing fee (that is what the card companies charge us when you pay, and we don't get it back if we refund).
This course was designed to meet the requirements of the hands-on Category 1 course for the NARM Midwifery Bridge Certificate, and for the new "LD&D Renewal" for Oregon LDMs.
If you are a midwife in Colorado, please email jesica@HiveCE. We have a low-cost supplemental course you will need to take along with Hands-On Suturing in order to meet the requirements for your state.
This course is appropriate for APRNs, CNMs, RNFAs, and other nurses who perform post-childbirth perineal repairs. It is not appropriate for all nurses. Course completion does not authorize the learner to use skills outside their scope. Please refer to your state guidelines for determining scope of care.
HiveCE is an approved provider of continuing education by the California Board of Nursing, and this course meets the California Board of Nursing criteria for 12.5 hours of continuing education. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 17686, for 12.5 contact hours.
Approved by MEAC for 10* hours of CE, approval number M2324-75-0701.
*We just upped the CE for this course, and we will submit a new MEAC application for the upgraded course. However, the nursing CE may be used as Category I CE for CPM renewals through NARM (same as MEAC!) and is also accepted the same as MEAC CE for every CPM state license we have encountered. Questions? Confused? [email protected]
Midwives of Color/Student Midwives of Color may receive a partial scholarship for this course. Please email [email protected] to request this scholarship.
