This course is designed for ALL midwives, regardless of whether they bill insurance themselves or utilize a professional biller. (We actually have some professional billers as students!)
Billing Beyond the Global is the follow-up to Billing Revolution, which outlines why you should be billing for more than just a global fee, and the legal restrictions around client/patient discounts.
In this course we get into the details of HOW to bill for those services, and will ask the following questions regarding each billable service:
Question 1: “Can I charge for this?” (And can I charge for this in ADDITION to CPT 59400?)
Question 2: “What charting is needed to document this has been performed?”
Question 3: “What coding/coding combinations should be used, and under what circumstances?”
Question 4: “Is it worth it?”
Part 1, live now, will address care in the prenatal period.
Part 2, released by December 1, 2017, will address care in labor, birth, and postpartum.
Part 3, released by December 15, 2017, will address care provided to the newborn.
All three parts listed above are included in this course. A completion certificate will be available on December 15th.
